Troy's for sale!

What an adorable Troy! No wonder he's priceless! Nope, I'm not taking any offers, but for some reason the people of Greenwood have some sneaky ideas!

Woodland Park Zoo Trip

We LOVE the zoo! Kelly and her preschool class had a family field trip to the zoo two weekends ago. We saw the new penguin exhibit, a baby snowleopard, and saw african dogs for the first time. We got to feed the parakeets again and Troy almost grabbed one!

What are you guys afraid of? It's just a birdseed stick! :)

Troy got to get in on the bird-feeding action!

A New Day

I can see clearly now the rain has gone... well, let up for today. I am making time to post pictures since it's been a long time and family may be interested!
New tricks: Troy began really crawling today!! He has been trying so hard over the past few weeks. He went from lunging and almost hopping like a frog to actually crawling! He is so proud of himself and excited at this whole new world that's opening up to him--little does he know that child locks are just a drawer away!
Kelly is really getting her letters down. I am so proud. She listens and learns better from pbskids.org than she does from me. Oh well. At least she's learning!

My blackmail Elton John Troy picture! Isn't he adorable?!! We were all cracking up, especially since he didn't even care that they were on his face.

Nothing like tasty feet to brighten your day!

Princess Kelly

What do I do next, Mom?

Troy, the next golfing phenomenon. I have a picture of Matt when he was a baby on a golf bag just like this, but my scanner program isn't downloaded to my new computer yet.

Alki Beach and Mariners Game

My parents finally came to visit for longer than a 24 hour period! We went to a Mariners' game one day, Alki Beach in West Seattle another day, and took a tour of the area we live in on Sunday. It was a lot of fun! We wished Cheechy could've been there with us too.
Troy cut a tooth over the weekend while in Spokompton, so he's been a little bit cranky. He is a big drooler now and tries to gnaw on anything that he can get his mouth close to. He's starting to grab things with his hands, he rolls over, he can almost sit up all by himself, he likes to stand with help at all times, and he LOVES his exersaucer. He still gives HUGE smiles and he prefers screaming over babbling.

Kelly is growing up so fast. She gets promoted to the pre-kindergarten room at her "school" in July. She is so close to learning what her letters look like. I have been really trying to work on it, but all she ever wants to do is play--mostly play Candyland. Which is fine with me, but I don't want her to be behind when she starts school. I'm sure as this next year progresses, she'll become more interested. Kelly is still a little princess, but she hasn't been putting on her dress every day. Her 4th birthday was this past Saturday! I'll have to make that post later.

From Queen Anne Hill: wind = bad hair; no hat for Matt = bad hair

At Alki Beach, we collected tons of transparent, colorless jellyfish that kept washing up on shore even though they were still alive.

Troy at 3 and 4 months

What a difference a month makes. Just a quick post with 3 month (blue polo) pics and 4 months (striped onesie) pics. I think he's starting to look more like me or maybe just Lehns in general. He is a little cutie I must say. I told a coworker that I want another baby already and she said it's because I'm in the "honeymoon phase" of baby's first year. Whatever that means--but I think she may have a point. Everything he does now is cute and there's no attitude or colic.

Disneyland!

Nana and I surprised Kelly with a trip to Disneyland this past week. I wanted to go before Kelly's princess phase was over and before Troy was mobile, so we decided to go during my maternity leave. Kelly was SO SURPRISED! She has been asking me for months to go to Disneyland, and I just say, "yes, someday". Whenever Kelly sees a dog (which is quite often), she thinks of Disneyland because she used to ask me if we could have a dog and I told her that if we got a dog, then we couldn't go on fun trips like going to Disneyland. So every time she saw a dog after that, she'd day, "I don't want a dog, I want to go to Disneyland". And if there were kids with the dog, she'd say, "Why do they have a dog Mom? Don't they want to go to Disneyland?!" hilarious!

When my mom got to my house, Kelly thought Nana was picking us up to go to her house. When we told her that we were going to Disneyland, she collapsed on the floor and then freaked out. It was so cute!

My mom and I had so much fun watching Kelly be all excited every day we were there and she was almost always wearing either her Aurora dress or Tinkerbell. We even took her to the Disney Princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto in California Adventure. It was pretty time consuming juggling the rides with Kelly and caring for Troy, but it was still fun and totally worth it. Luckily Troy LOVES his Nana and was all smiles and cooing for her.

We started the trip with an excursion to Laguna Beach. So beautiful and the water was FREEZING. Kelly insisted on being Tinkerbell and she felt so cool especially since ladies kept saying how cute she was.

Taking a break from the 100 degree heat wave in a nice air conditioned store.

Kelly got to be in the parade in Disneyland! She got to weave around the floats while holding onto the red rope. She was in shock, excited, and a little confused I think.

I thought this No Stroller Parking sign was hilarious since there's a huge sea of strollers parked to the right in the picture.

Rocking Chair Diaries

I've been feeling like my bum is molded to the shape of my rocking chair. Secretary Spread. Awesome. It seems like I spend most of the day nursing with spurts of quick activity while Troy naps. Troy is a slow nurser, just like Kelly was.
I love having a little boy. Troy is a good little baby and he "talks" and smiles so big at all of us. He talks and smiles the longest with Kelly. They are so cute together. Kelly has been such a good big sister. She is a great helper. Hopefully she keeps it up!

I have been trying to do Turbo Jam at least every other day. I really like it. It's a lot like TaeBo, but more fun I think. I haven't been doing it long enough to say it works, but I'm definitely a sweaty pig when I'm done.

Speaking of pig, I feel so disgusting. I don't remember feeling like this with Kelly. I know it took me a year to loose all the weight after Kelly was born, but I guess I'm just really impatient this time and I at least want to squeeze back into my pre-prego clothes. Why can't my body be like other women and just have all the extra fat melt off me in 3 months?! No fair.

Blessing Day

Matt blessed Troy this past Sunday. We had both sides of the family in town--those that could make the trip anyways. Troy was a good baby and slept through all of church. Kelly was so excited to go to primary. She LOVES being a sunbeam!

My sister-in-law, Carra, found the blue tie on Troy. I think it is so cute! I wanted a white one originally, but this blue one is just too cute with the blue booties from Grandma Lehn!

Funny Newborn

Here's a hilarious shot of Troy that Kailey somehow managed to catch on her camera! It's a great picture to show to future girlfriends when he's older! muu-uu-hahaha!
